🔒 Your documents, Safe contents, passport and card details, and trip information are stored encrypted on your device and are never collected or transmitted. We collect anonymous, non-identifying usage analytics only - details below.
TripDoc does not collect personal data that identifies you - no names, email addresses, or account details. Your trip information, documents, and files are stored exclusively and encrypted on your device and are never transmitted to us. We use anonymous analytics (see the Analytics section below) that collect only non-identifying usage data, never your documents or Safe contents. TripDoc does not currently show ads.
All data - trips, tasks, documents, and Safe files - is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database and the device file system. Sensitive documents in the Safe are encrypted using a key stored in your device's secure Keychain. No data ever leaves your device without your explicit action (e.g. using the Backup export feature).
The Backup feature exports your data as an encrypted file that you save to a location of your choice (e.g. iCloud Drive, email). The encryption passphrase is chosen by you and never stored or transmitted by TripDoc. We have no access to your backups.
We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics - events like "deal tapped" or "backup created." These events contain no personal information, names, email addresses, or device identifiers. The data is used solely to understand which features are useful and to improve the app. You can review PostHog's privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy.
The Deals tab may display travel offers from third-party affiliate partners. Tapping a deal opens the partner's website in your browser, and we may earn a commission. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. All deal links are validated to use HTTPS before being opened.
